佩-梅病(Pelizaeus-Merzbacherdisease,PMD)是一种罕见的弥漫性脑白质髓鞘形成障碍的X连锁隐性遗传疾病,由于基因缺陷,导致大脑中髓磷脂不足,最终导致神经功能的逐渐丧失和死亡。

StemCells公司从事基于干细胞疗法和工具的研究、开发和商品化,用于基于干细胞的研究和药物发现。该公司目前开发的先导治疗候选产品HuCNS-SC(纯化的人类神经干细胞),有望用于广泛的中枢神经系统紊乱疾病的治疗。
