研究共纳入在70名接受CABG手术的CPB患者。这些患者在手术前随机给予安慰剂或每日口服15万IU维生素D,连续服用3天。取右心房样本测量caspase 2、3和7的活性。每隔一段时间比较白细胞介素-10(IL-10)和胰岛素样生长因子1(IGF-1)的血清水平。
结果显示,维生素D组的caspase 2和3的平均阳性细胞数较少(分别为P = 0.006和P <0.001)。术前接受维生素D治疗3天后,血清中IL-10水平有所上升(维生素D组=4.4±4.9 ng/mL,对照组=1±0.5 ng/mL,P = .001)。术后,两组IL-10的水平均升高,维生素D组的水平更高(P<.001)。3天后组间血清IGF-1的水平显著差异(P = .006),CPB后维生素D组的水仍较高(P < .001)。
综上所述,这些研究结果表明,维生素D可以降低CPB后的细胞凋亡率,补充维生素D治疗可改善患者手术前后的炎症状态。仍需进一步的研究探究维生素D的抗凋亡特性及临床意义。

1,25-二羟维生素D3对白血病细胞,肿瘤细胞以及皮肤细胞的生长分化均有调节作用。如骨髓细胞白血病患者的新鲜细胞经1,25-二羟维生素D3处理后,白细胞的增殖作用被抑制并使之诱导分化。1,25-二羟维生素D3还可使正常人髓样细胞分化为巨噬细胞和单核细胞,这可能是其调节免疫功能的一个环节。1,25-二羟维生素D3对其他肿瘤细胞也有明显的抗增殖和诱导分化作用。如1,25-二羟维生素D3可使种植于小鼠内的肉瘤细胞体积缩小,使小鼠体内结肠癌和黑色素瘤种植物的生长受到明显抑制。对原发性乳腺癌、肺癌、结肠癌、骨髓肿瘤细胞等均有抑制作用。此外,1,25-二羟维生素D3还能加速巨噬细胞释放肿瘤坏死因子,而后者具有广泛的抗肿瘤效应。1,25-二羟维生素D3可明显抑制表皮角化细胞和皮肤成纤维细胞的增殖并诱导其分化,故推测1,25-二羟维生素D3对某些皮肤过度扩生性疾病可能有治疗作用。
