研究者评估了涉及加巴喷丁治疗持续性或顽固性呃逆的17例病例报告和2个病例系列。所有的病例中加巴喷丁治疗的结果都呈阳性,短期的证据表明了疗效,但在某些病例中,结果常被联合治疗与合并症干扰混淆。病例报告表明,加巴喷丁作为二线药物,可能对卒中康复或姑息治疗中对氯丙嗪有不良反应的患者有用。加巴喷丁耐受性良好,副作用较轻。

最后研究者总结道,加巴喷丁治疗呃逆的耐受性良好,可作为某些特定患者的二线治疗药物。
