最近,研究人员进行了一项探究,目的是在老年中国人的群体中,评估循环脂溶性维生素状态与认知之间的关系。

研究人员对1754名年龄在55-80岁的社区居民进行横断面研究,旨在评估循环α-生育酚与视黄醇状态和认知之间的关系。此外,研究人员还探讨了ApoE基因多态性对维生素与认知之间关系的影响。

该研究的结果表明,血清视黄醇状态与认知能力呈正相关;而血清α-生育酚(α-TOH/视黄醇比例与认知能力呈负相关。轻度认知障碍(MCI)受试者表现出比正常受试者更高的血清α-TOH状态(P <0.05),α-TOH /视黄醇比(P <0.01),和更低的视黄醇状态(P <0.01)。

ApoE4基因型的受试者比ApoE3基因型的受试者具有更低的血清视黄醇水平(P <0.05)和更高的α-TOH /视黄醇比(P <0.01)。 MCI-ApoE4携带者表现出最差的认知能力(P <0.05),并且表现出较高的血清TCα-TOHα-TOH /视黄醇比率水平(P <0.05),以及较低的LDL-C,视黄醇和脂质调节的视黄醇状态(P <0.05)。 

MCI-ApoE2受试者的血清TCHDL-C含量和α-TOH /视黄醇比值均较高(P <0.05);血清视黄醇和脂质调节视黄醇水平较低(P <0.05)。

因此,该研究表明,较低的循环视黄醇和较高的α-TOH /视黄醇比率可能预示着老年中国成年人认知能力下降的风险增加。具有较高循环α-TOH /视黄醇比率的ApoE2E4携带者出现认知表现差,发生MCI的风险增加。
